journeys
sorry and thank you.journeying together on thursday was really touching. it's amazing how the simplicity of a few words triggered a free flow of tears. even silent embraces and holding hands spoke volumes. friendships were renewed, existing ones reinforced. the power of reciprocation, the intensity of hugging a friend, a teacher who has a special significance - it was truly beyond words. four years now. six years later. 100years. reach.
my friend.
my friends (:
i was especially glad that the ppl who meant a lot to me were by my side (literally) during the session. haha and in front too.
so right, we're all supposed to be psyched up for the upcoming Os. yes. everyone seems to be wrapped up in a reflective mood. the eventual farewell, the next step, the future. what next after sn. i'm quite scared lahh, to be frank. it's somewhat inexplicable, intangible even to myself. but i think i know, deep down somewhere in my heart it's the fear of letting go. then again i dont know how to continue from here.
haha okay well lately my change for the better (or so i thought) evolved into this ability to irk my mum. unintentionally i swear. the occurrence of it often leaves me bemused. you see, i've been told to watch my "attitude" (i assume it's a generalisation of all my negative qualities), which has the tendency to creep into the way i converse with my mum. so i obeyed. when a slight disagreement arises and i sense it has the potential to progress into a war of words, i immediately swallow my reply and muster up a sweet smile. way to go isnt it but no. this "very cool" reaction, my mum claims, is a "secret tactic to handle parents" and it gets her really worked up. oh how did she know we learnt that in moral education? aiyah, maybe my smile's not sincere enough. darn. guess i'm choosing the cowardly option of running away lahh but i mean no harm, as in being the strong-headed pair we are, one person has to withdraw and let the other person win. it's just like the sickening situation when parent letures child, "still dare to talk back!" and when the child shuts up parent demands "how dare you ignore me!" tian ah.
i discover i like my coffee less sweet now. (:
/everybody's hanging out just like they hung out before
